Morning Wheel Throwing
with John Reinking
Explore the full range of clay techniques with John Reinking in this hands-on class. Learn both wheel throwing and handbuilding step by step, while experimenting with surface design, texture, and glazes. Weekly demonstrations guide beginners, and more experienced students are introduced to advanced techniques to expand their skills. This class encourages individual expression, creativity, and the joy of bringing your ideas to life in clay.
Tuition is all-inclusive and covers the cost of class instruction, use of all studio equipment, glazes, and the firing of your in-class creations.
Clay purchases and tools are not included. To ensure the safety of our kilns during the firing process, clay must be purchased at The Center.

Portraiture with A Model Session 1
with No Instructor
This student-moderated studio provides a relaxed, focused environment to practice in the medium of your choice. With no formal instruction, you have the freedom to experiment, observe, and develop your work at your own pace. Register for the full four-week session to work from the same clothed live portrait model, giving you time to truly refine your skills, or drop in for any day that fits your schedule.

Painting as Inquiry (Hybrid)
with Wes Sherman
This open-studio workshop welcomes painters of all skill levels and media, including oil, acrylic, watercolor, gouache, and mixed media. It is a friendly space for experimenting, learning, and exploring why painting matters, whether you are a beginner or an experienced artist. Through demonstrations, hands-on guidance, and group discussions, we will explore topics such as starting a painting, using color effectively, and developing personal expression. The focus is on growth, clarity, and discovering your unique style, with an emphasis on the creative process rather than judgment. You will engage with techniques and ideas connected to perception, memory, and human experience.

Painting with Wes (Hybrid)
with Wes Sherman
Students will work from a mix of sources, including photos, still-life setups, plein-air sketches, and live subjects, while exploring a range of oil painting methods and techniques. Artist and instructor Wes Sherman will guide you through approaches that strengthen your understanding of composition, color, and form while also supporting your personal creative direction.
This class welcomes all experience levels. You are encouraged to bring and use the oil or acrylic painting supplies you already have. A suggested materials list is included below for anyone who would like added guidance.
