Intermediate Drawing

$310

with Oscar Peterson

Calendar Sep 21, 2026 at 6:30 pm

Develop your drawing skills through a structured study of observation, proportion, value, and form. This 10 week course is designed for intermediate students who want to strengthen their technical abilities while exploring a variety of approaches to representational drawing.

During the first six weeks, students will work from photographic references, focusing on composition, measuring techniques, shading, and creating the illusion of depth and volume. The second half of the course will shift to working from a live model, providing the opportunity to study portraiture and clothed figure drawing from direct observation.

Through demonstrations, critiques, and individualized instruction, students will learn to analyze what they see and translate it into confident, accurate drawings. Students are encouraged to work at their own level while building a stronger foundation in observational drawing.
